Why did you decided to renovate your kitchen?
I decided to renovate my kitchen because it was dated, colours were wrong for my home, some appliances had stopped working properly and the design lacked a number of things I wanted (eg, breakfast bar, cupboards over fridge, bulkhead). Overall it was a basic, boring kitchen with little appeal to spend time in.
Why did you opt to design your kitchen through Kitchen Connection?
My friend Sarah works at the Aspley showroom and after a chat and tour of the showroom, I felt that Kitchen Connection would be able to deliver a quality kitchen that I would be happy with.
What do you love most about your new kitchen?
There’s so much to be happy about! I really love the large drawers that replaced cupboards that I would lose things at the back of. My pantry with pull out shelves in the bottom section is also great – I can easily see what is in there.
My beautiful Caesarstone bench top is lovely and wide and my gorgeous splash back looks amazing at night with the downlights on. But most of all I love the feel of the kitchen. It’s now a space myself and my family actually want to be in.
What is your advice for people looking at renovating their kitchen?
I would say, do it sooner rather than later and that the process is not that hard. I wish I had done it way before now but I was put off by thinking that it would be much more difficult than it was! The process through Kitchen Connection was very easy. The hardest thing was choosing the colours and that was still fun!
